On 18 February 2020, at 11.00 hrs., at Reception Room, 4th Floor, the Parliament Building (Kiakkai), H.E. Mr. Radek Vondráček, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and the delegation paid a courtesy call on Professor Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, President of the Senate, on the occasion of the official visit to Thailand as guests of the parliament. The courtesy call was also attended by Mr. Supachai Somcharoen, Second Vice-President of the Senate, Mrs. Pikulkeaw Krairiksh, Chairwoman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Virasakdi Futrakul, Gen. Lertrat Ratanavanich, Gen. Teeradej Meepien, Lt.Gen. Umpone Chupratum, Mr. Bancha Phongaryukul, Senators, and Mr. Nut Phasuk, Secretary-General of the Senate. During the discussion, the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic agreed to promote and strengthen the relationship and cooperation in several areas in both public and private sectors. Moreover, both sides also agreed on promoting legislative relations and cooperation through exchange of visits of high level officers, committees and the parliamentarians’ friendship groups between the two countries.
 

After the courtesy call, the President of the Senate hosted a luncheon in honour of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic joined by the senators and Gen. Singsuk Singpai, First Vice-President of the Senate at the Reweekanlaya Hotel Bangkok.
