On Tuesday 29 October 2019, at 11.00 hours, Reception Room, 25th floor, Sukprapruet Building, General Singsuk Singpai, First Vice-President of the Senate, together with Mr. Supachai Somcharoen, Second Vice-President of the Senate, Mrs. Pikulkeaw Krairiksh, Chairwoman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Panit Nitithanprapas, Advisor of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Somchai Harnhirun, First Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Commerce and Industry, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, Second Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Labour and Mr. Nat Phasuk, Secretary-General of the Senate, welcomed Honourable Mr. Muhammad Faruk Khan, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Parliament of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and delegation during the visit to Thailand between 27 – 29 October 2019.

 

Both parties agreed that Thailand and Bangladesh should promote cooperation in every dimension such as economic relations, in particular trade, investment, tourism and labour. Furthermore, both countries should promote regional security cooperation, especially on the displacement of Rohingya, and also strengthen understanding in levels of the government, parliament and people-to-people. In regards to the legislative relations, both parliaments have already established Parliamentarians’ Friendship Group between each other to promote legislative relations and cooperation between Members of Parliaments of both countries, create closer relationship and stronger bond and also encourage future exchange visits.
