The Ad Hoc Committee on the Senate Affairs
shall have the duties and powers to carry out activities, undertake fact-finding or study any matter as follows:
- to consider a bill or any other matter entrusted by the Senate or the President of the Senate;
- to follow up the implementation of resolutions and examine the minutes of the sittings of the Senate;
- to carry out activities or consider any matter which is not the duties and powers of any other committees of the Senate;
- to co-ordinate the Senate with the House of Representatives, the Council of Ministers, the Independent Organs, the State Attorney Organ and other organizations related to the activities of the Senate;
- to co-ordinate with all standing committees and members of the Senate related to the consideration of the name-list of members of the Senate or any person which shall be submitted to the Senate sitting to select as members of the standing committee or members of the ad hoc committee, under Rule 82, Rule 83, Rule 84, Rule 85, or Rule 106, as the case requires, to proceed in an orderly, appropriate and fair manner;
- to provide technical, information, and information technology support to the activities of the Senate;
- to receive complaints or petitions from the public and forward them to various committees or other related organizations for consideration;
- to publicize the work of the Senate;
- to give advice to the Senate relating to the development of work system and the performance of various activities of the Senate;
- to give advice to the Senate relating to preparing the detail of budget and an amendment to the motion of annual appropriations in so far as it is related to the Senate and the Secretariat of the Senate;
- to give advice to the Senate relating to providing various welfare and benefits to members of the Senate.
