The Committee on Social Development and Children, Youth, Women, the Elderly, the Disabled, the Underprivileged Affairs and Social Diversity
shall have the duties and powers to consider bills, carry out activities,
undertake fact-finding or study any matter concerning social development, children, youth, women, the elderly,
the disabled, the underprivileged, ethnic groups and people of diverse sexualities, as well as coordinating with
national and international organizations and communities, strengthening community potentiality in development of
living condition, providing protection and care for the poor, promoting equality, developing social welfare,
consolidating social power, creating insurance and security and developing quality of life of the Thai citizen
as a whole and other relevant matters.
