Paid a courtesy call on the President of the Senate

On 18 December 2019, 15.00 hours, at the Reception Room, 25^th floor, Sookprapreut Building, Prof. Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, President of the Senate together with Mr. Supachai Somcharoen, Second Vice-President of the Senate, Mr. Dusit Khamasakchai, Vice President of the Thailand-Turkey Parliamentarians Friendship Group and Gen. Saravut Chaloryoo, Gen. Archanai Srisukh, Mr. Zakee Phithakkumpol, Executive Committees of the Thailand-Turkey Parliamentarians Friendship Group and Mr. Nut Phasuk, Secretary-General of the Senate, welcomed H.E. Ms. Evren Dağdelen Akgün Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Thailand.

The President of the Senate and the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Thailand expressed their appreciation of the close relations between Thailand and Turkey. Regarding the legislative relation, both countries have established the Parliamentarians Friendship Groups for providing mutual support at bilateral and multilateral levels. Moreover, both countries will promote and cooperate in their high potential areas such as tourism, education, trade and investment to develop the Asian and European connectivity which will be advantageous to Thailand as the gateway to Europe and to Turkey as the gateway to Asia, resulting in mutual benefits of both countries.
